JIMBO – A1048054

8-21-2015 Brooklyn

Previous | Next

***GONE 08/21/15*** JIMBO is a sweet and timid boy, brought in with a group of ‘strays’ tnat look very much like displaced housecats-look at his lovely clean coat and sweet face. He’s only a year old, and chances are grew up in the same home since he was a baby. But JIMBO, who ALLOWED HANDLING is simply frightened and very nervous in this environment. He really needs to be in a home, not having the precious moments of his life tick by as he’s due to be ‘destroyed’ tomorrow. Please don’t let this lovely boy be killed-for absolutely no reason at all. Reach out and pull JIMBO-be his foster, his friend, his advocate til his forever home comes along. He’s lived with other cats, he’s a good boy who deserves better! As the ‘dog days’ of Summer wind down, few are speaking up for these cats-please don’t let this precious boy lose his life! SAVE JIMBO TONIGHT!!!

08/18/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: Jimbo was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment he was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Retreats as I started to get closer. I was able to pet him and interact with him in a limited way. I was also able to pick him up for a limited time before attempting to flee. Although he was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but remains neutral When spoken quietly: does not come to front but remains neutral Reaction to door cage opening: remains motionless Reaction to touch: seems indifferent to my presence and touch Try picking cat up: Jimbo always limited handling before attempting to flee Placement Determination: Experience
