***SAFE 04/20/15 *** JOYFUL JERRY IS A CAT WHO LIKES TO PLAY!! The daughter of JERRY’s former owner would play roughly with him so instead of disciplining the daughter, they dumped the cat!! ACC staff said that JERRY would have a BEGINNER rating except for the owner’s comment. LET’S HAVE SOME JUSTICE FOR JERRY!! He’s only 9 months old and is a very friendly cat even sleeping with the daughter who antagonized him….WE’RE SURE THAT THE RIGHT PURRSON OR CAT FAMILY IS OUT THERE FOR JERRY…..BUT WE NEED TO FIND IT TONITE!!

04/13/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Jerry was already at the front, rubbing his cheeks against the cage door. When softly spoken to, he reaches out with his paws. Reaction to cage door opening: Jerry remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Jerry remains in place, begins to purr, and rubs his cheeks and head-butts the assessor’s hand. Reaction to being picked up: Allows handling, but prefers to be inside his cage. As per previous owner, Jerry has lived with one adult and a child of 6 years old. They said he doesn’t like to be picked up and held, but enjoys petting. They described him as confident, friendly, affectionate and independent. He is usually relaxed and tolerant with everyone in the house, but will get defensive towards the 6 year old when she played rough with him. Behavior Determination: Experience Jerry interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Although his behavior earns him a Beginner score, due to an incident in his previous home, we recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents and to conduct a thorough interaction with any future home with children.
