JEN – A1047478
8-21-2015 Manhattan
***GONE 08/21/15*** SECOND NIGHT ON THE LIST FOR THIS STUNNING SENIOR!! 10 year old JEN is stunning-truthfully, lovely. Her former ‘owner’ however, what can one say? JEN has never been spayed, and though ‘urinating outside box’ wasn’t taken to the vet! Nope! They figured it was just ok to drop this cat-who, by the way, they purchased at a pet store (they had the money to buy a cat/kitten but not for a vet visit?), at ACC. Now JEN is in deep trouble. Urinating outside the box can mean a bladder infection, cystitis, or just the box hasn’t been clean enough! It could be anything-but her former ‘owner’ really should be brought up on neglect-Jen deserves better! One thing is for sure-this lovely girl has many more years ahead of her-good years with someone who loves her. Can you be that person? Or help JEN to be fostered til that person comes along? She’s timid, obviously a cat who has been a part of a family, even though not treated as she should be. She’s lived in a home. She’s got years ahead of her, and she’s stunning. JEN needs you tonight-for older cats have a harder time making it out of a ACC alive. Please SAVE JEN!!!! this love needs you to live-and to love again.

08/14/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Jen came to us as an owner surrender on 8/11/15. It was reported by the previous owner that Jen has lived with children, and is tolerant of all visitors and members of the household. She can be seen hiding under her bedding in the kennel, and seems a bit indifferent to the assessor’s presence. She tries to avoid being pet, but is tolerant once touched. The behavior department believes that Jen would be best housed with and experienced adopter. Reaction to assessor: continues to hide (was hiding when you approached cage) (3) When spoken to quietly: continues to hide (3) Reaction to door opening: retreats (3) Reaction to touch: moves away from you to avoid being touched (3)
