JELLY – A1034450
5-2-2015 Brooklyn
**GONE 05/02/15** My heart breaks for Jelly. This poor cat is terrified and with all good reason. She was brought into the ACC as a stray and is acting out. Can you really blame her? She is locked in a cage in a strange and noisy place and doesn’t know what her fate is. Sadly we know if no one steps up for Jelly she will be killed. I believe once she is out of that environment she will calm down. She just deserves a chance and needs a patient person to help her trust. Please contact a rescue group member if you can foster or adopt Jelly. Your her only hope of making it out alive.

04/30/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: Jelly was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. He seems to not be thriving in this environment and at the time of the assessment Jelly was displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. He has tried to strike and is extremely fearful. Jelly currently does not tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but remains neutral (2) When spoken quietly: does not come to front but remains neutral (2) Reaction to door cage opening: becomes stiff, alert (3) Reaction to touch: growls, hisses, strikes, does not allows petting at all (5) Try picking cat up: did not attempt to pick the cat up, fractious behavior Placement Determination: NewHope
