JAZZY – A1037223
** GONE 05/27/15** Who is willing to work with a New Hope rescue group tonight, to save JAZZY? In return for opening their heart and home, some lucky person is going to enjoy a lifetime of love from this neutered 5-year-old boy who tips the scales at a very fetching 10 pounds. His BFF, Jamie, is a few years older, a few pounds heavier, also neutered….and is not scheduled to die tomorrow. Both cats wound up at the shelter because their former owner was hospitalized, and poor Jazzy has been traumatized by the experience. He is certain to be a lovely chap when he is somewhere that feels safe. Only a New Hope rescue partner can pull JAZZY to safety, tonight.
My name is JAZZY. My Animal ID # is A1037223.
I am a neutered male black and white domestic sh. The shelter thinks I am about 5 YEARS old.
I came in the shelter as a OWNER SUR on 05/22/2015 from NY 11105, owner surrender reason stated was OWNER HOSP. I came in with Group/Litter #K15-014914.

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Owner Profile: Jazzy was bought into the care center by our field drivers due to his previous owner being in the hospital. Jazzy seems to not be thriving in this environment and at the time of the assessment he was displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. He is extremely fearful and currently does not tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but remains neutral (2) When spoken quietly: does not come to front but remains neutral (2) Reaction to door cage opening: becomes stiff, alert (3) Reaction to touch: growls, hisses, does not allows petting at all (5) Try picking cat up: did not attempt to pick the cat up, fractious behavior Placement Determination: NewHope
