Meet Jazz!!! Jazz is a nice boy that reportedly fell out a window resulting in a diaphragmatic hernia as well as a leg injury. Jazz is also having some difficulty breathing. The hernia should be resolved with surgery. Please pull this sweet boy from MACC today!!

I am an unaltered female, gray Domestic Shorthair mix.
The shelter staff think I am about 2 years old.
I weigh 5 pounds.
I was found in NY 10458.
I have been at the shelter since May 21, 2015.
INTIAL EXAM:
Scan neg
S/O: Reported to have fallen out an apartment window and sat in the court yard without moving
Appearance: Sternal, QAR, mild dehydration easily handled even with pain
Integument: Appropriate hair coat, normal nails
EENT: OU clear, AU clean, No nasal d/c
Oral cavity: MM pale pink to white at times with excitement, CRT <2sec, Healthy dentition
PLN: WNL
H/L: sinus arrhythmia to sinus bradycardia, difficult to assess at times, Lungs clear, no GIT sounds in chest but highly suspect Diaphragmatic hernia, abdominal component to the breathing
ABD: Soft non painful,
U/G:
M/S: Amb x 3 – LHL stifle ligaments torn and stiflle joint is dislocated
BCS: 5/9
Neuro: NSF
NOSF
A: High rise trauma – most likely Diaphragmatic hernia and dislocated stifle jt with ruptutured ligaments
P: NH placement
Px guarded with workup and sx, Grave if not placed
Buprinex 0.2cc SC BID
LRS 50 cc SC BID
