JAVALIN – A1038438
6-8-2015 Manhattan
***GONE 06/08/15*** PERFECTLY HEALTHY JAVALIN WILL BE KILLED AT NOON FOR NO OTHER REASON THAN SHE IS AFRAID!! JAVALIN is a 7 year old girl who came into the shelter as a stray. Not much is known of her background and she is not a happy camper being caged in the shelter. JAVALIN allowed petting and handling but is nervous in the shelter and this was all they needed to fast track her to the euth list. JAVALIN may be a lost pet but at this point if a rescue angel doesn’t step up for this girl, she will be history by tomorrow afternoon. GIVE THIS TUXIE GIRL A CHANCE FOR A HAPPY ENDING TO HER STORY – CONTACT A RESCUE NOW TO PULL HER TO SAFETY.

Inside new carrier would retreat to back and when given food was not interested.

06/06/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Javalin looks neutral in her cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Javalin remains crouched down on her cage bedding, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Javalin retreats away from the assessor’s hand and stiffens up in place. She then accepts the stroke, but shows no interest and began to eye wander. Placement determination: Experience / no child Javalin tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
