I am a male other and white domestic sh. The shelter thinks I am about 3 YEARS old.
I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 09/22/2015 from NY 10457, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

10/01/2015 Exam Type RE-EXAM – Medical Rating is 3 NC – MAJOR CONDITIONS NOT CONTAGIOUS, Behavior Rating is NONE, Weight 9.0 LBS.
10/01/15 09:36 S/O: BAR, very sweet, eating well. heart continues to be loudest on right side of thorax (not audible sternally). continues to have increased respiratory rate and respiratory effort. A: increased RE – r/o diaphragmatic hernia vs. pneumonia vs. heart failure/pleural effusion vs. chylous effusion vs. pneumothorax vs. other P: needs chest x-rays for diagnosis recommend new hope placement 09/30/15 10:06 very very friendly and social bar, eating lungs still ausculting normal but rr slightly increased needs follow up xrays ok to move out of medical with vet check 09/29/15 10:54 exam unchanged bright and alert eating well unknown history leading to increased rr 09/28/15 09:28 bar, eating purring loudly, friendly increased respiratory rate with increased stridor no crackles or wheezes heart wnl, no murmur mm pink, crt <2s chest x-rays reccomended patient appears stable 09/27/15 10:10 bright and alert allowed petting, soliciting attnetion eating wet food readily when presented NSF on auscultation, heart no murmur purring loudly continue to observe in medical, not dyspnic at this time 09/26/15 15:23 S/O: increased RE noted by kennel staff. on exam the cat breathes with increased effort, and an abdominal component. cat is overall stable, BAR, eating wet food during exam. mm’s are pale pink. abdomen feels empty but colon is palpable, thick. BCS 2-3/9, matted hair coat. heart is difficult to auscult sternally but is audible to the left of the sternum and laterally on the left side of the thorax. no crackles ausculted, lung sounds present bilaterally. Reaction to assessor: Jasper immediately comes soliciting at the front of the cage. Reaction to door opening: Jasper remains at the front of the cage, soft and relaxed, soliciting attention. Reaction to touch: Jasper rubs on the assessor’s hand and appreciates petting on the head and body. Reaction to Being Picked up: Allows the pickup and remains calm. Placement determination: Allows the pickup and remains calm. Jasper interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
