***SAFE 09/06/15*** Poor, baby JASPER is so scared and had no idea what’s about to happen to him. The 5 month old is fearful in the shelter setting. He tolerated minimal petting and attention but not much else. Of course he’s scared! He’s just a baby! He’s going to need time to warm up to his new home but that’s to be expected of most new pets. His EXPERIENCE rating just means a nice, quiet home where experienced pet parents have understanding for LITTLE JASPER. Offer to FOSTER or ADOPT this little guy today!

08/30/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Jasper was calm and relaxed upon approach. He looks at the assessor when softly spoken to, but his ears tilt slightly sideways. Reaction to cage door opening: Jasper becomes alert. Reaction to touch: Jasper tries to avoid touch and moves away from the assessor’s hand. He looks for an exit, but when he has no way to escape, he remains in place for petting and closes his eyes. Behavior Determination: Experience Jasper tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
