*** GONE 08/18/15 *** SECOND NIGHT ON THE LIST AND JANEY SCANNED POSITIVE FOR A MICROCHIP THIS AFTERNOON! JANEY IS ANOTHER FRIGHTENED CAT AT THE ACC….Is she lost? Abandoned? She was listed last night as having NO microchip, and today they FOUND one, why hasn’t she been given her 10-day hold while the try to contact her former owner? NOT FAIR!! What we know is she is a one year old tuxie totally out of her element at the ACC….And she is listed with 35 other cats…..WHAT WE NEED HERE IS A SPECIAL PURRSON WHO CAN SEE JANEY’S POTENTIAL….IS THAT PURRSON YOU?? JANEY just needs time, love and patience…..and those cost nothing. PLEASE SAVE JANEY’S LIFE AND OFFER TO FOSTER OR ADOPT HER NOW!!

08/16/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Janey becomes wide-eyed and focuses on the assessor upon approach. She continues to stare at the assessor and her eyes dilate when softly spoken to. Reaction to cage door opening: Janey remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Janey is completely immobile during touch. She continues to focus on the assessor with wide eyes throughout the interaction, but does not display any further reaction other than her ears bending sideways. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Janey tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
