***GONE 06/08/15*** CHARMING, “FRIENDLY” YOUNG TABBY BOY, BROUGHT TO THE ACC BY THE POLICE, HAS A GREAT BEHAVIOR RATING, BUT WILL DIE BECAUSE HE SNEEZED – PLEASE GRANT JAMBU A DEATH ROW PARDON!!! Darling three-year-old brown tabby boy JAMBU was brought into the kill-happy ACC by the police, who said he was “FRIENDLY”. Apparently Jambu was ABANDONED by his former owner. During his behavioral assessment, Jambu MEOWED, begging for affection and allowed all petting, despite being curious at everything going on in the noisy shelter, which earned him a very good rating of EXPERIENCE. But this sweet young fellow caught the notorious ACC kitty cold, and we all know the ACC prefers to KILL rather than CURE. so they will “TREAT” Jambu’s cold with a lethal injection at noon tomorrow. Please don’t let them silence his purrs and meows forever! Start RIGHT NOW to apply to foster or adopt tabby lovebug JAMBU! If you can’t save JAMBU yourself, please SHARE his sad story and PLEDGE for his rescue!

06/01/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Jambu was at the front, meowing at the assessor. When softly spoken to, he tries to sniff and pushes himself up on the cage door and continues to meow. Reaction to cage door opening: Jambu remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Jambu allows stroke on his head and body, but is focused on things happening outside the room. His tail starts to flicker from side to side and it is a bit difficult to distract him from the events of the environment. Reaction to being picked up: Jambu remains calm and allows handling. Note: Jambu was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. He was fearful during intake, but allowed petting and handling without signs of aggression. However, during his initial medical exam he was growling and trying to scratch, possibly due to nervousness. Behavior Determination: Experience Jambu was willing to connect with and interact with the assessor during the behavior evaluation. However, due to his reaction to handling during the medical exam and from a previous incident with the finders, we recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
