07/10/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
07/10/15 11:20hRS Jahzara appears to be a 1 year old female domestic shorthair cat. She was surrendered as a stray with her daughter Jaya (A1043459). During the intake process, Jahzara remained in the carrier still, while flicking the tip of her tail. When the Admissions Counselor extended a hand towards her she remained still. When she was removed from the carrier, she would lower her head and body towards the ground, and tried to go back into the carrier. She allowed the Admissions Counselor to collar, scan her for a microchip (negative) and take photographs without displaying any aggressive behavior.

07/14/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to Assessor: Jahzara was calm and relaxed upon approach. When softly spoken to, she looks and attempts to sniff the assessor. Reaction to cage door opening: Jahzara remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Jahzara leans on the assessor’s hand and remains in place for petting, but she grumbles when pet on her body. Behavior Determination: Experience Jahzara tolerates attention and petting but may not like being pet on certain areas of her body. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
