IPAD MINI – A1057736
Gone 11-18-2015 Brooklyn
**GONE 11/18/15** UNUSUAL SECOND CHANCE for a NEW-HOPE RATED GIRL! IPAD MINI is a gorgeous 18-month-old girl who was brought into the shelter as a stray, but her good health suggests that she might be someone’s lost pet. She is missing her lower incisors and has some healing abrasions on her shoulder blades, so maybe she has been lost for a while and has had a rough go of it? She recognizes that the shelter is NOT a safe place for her to be, and has been acting defensively toward the staff who loom threateningly above her. It’s UNUSUAL for the ACC to give any cat a second chance, and almost UNHEARD OF for them to give a second chance to a Hew Hope rated cat. Someone at the shelter must believe this girl is destined to be a great family pet, despite her current fears. Please step up to work with a NEW HOPE RESCUE tonight, because they are the only ones who have the power to save sweet IPAD MINI.

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Ipad Mini was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. She attempted to flee multiple times upon intake. She became fractious with handling during her initial medical exam. Reaction to Assessor: Ipad Mini was inside a hidey box upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Ipad Mini does not respond. Reaction to cage door opening: Ipad Mini remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Ipad Mini focuses on the assessor’s hand and blinks slowly. She allows brief touch on her body before shifting away from the hand. She does not allow touch afterwards, she tries to avoid contact and may attempt to flee. Placement Determination: New Hope Only Ipad Mini is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and/or may require further investigation before placement in a home. She is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
