***GONE 11/09/15*** NEW HOPE RESCUE is needed for INDIGO, a handsome Russian Blue mix who was trapped in the Bronx. He looks mightily displeased in his shelter photograph, but picture those luminous green eyes full of love, and imagine how luxurious his coat must be! Indigo needs a FOSTER or ADOPTER to work with a NEW HOPE rescue group in order to save his life, so please help get that lined up for him tonight!

I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 11/04/2015 from NY 10458, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY. I came in with Group/Litter #K15-038403.

11/04/15 19:01 Indigo A1056954 was trapped on Davidson ave in the Bronx. Behvior during intake Indigo was trapped and was nervous in the trap. He was trying to flee but allowed to be transferred safely into a carrier.

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Indigo looks tense in his cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Indigo remains crouched position hiding in his cat den, alert with pupils dilated. Reaction to touch: Indigo does not allow the stroke, hisses and spits at the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: NH ONLY Indigo is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. He is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
