04/03/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Ike was almost entirely hidden behind bogus paper with eyes dilated when approached by the assessor. Reaction to cage opening: Ike remains hidden when the cage is opened. Reaction to touch: Ike did not come out from behind the bogus paper for the entirety of his assessment. Due to clear stress signals, a neutral assessment tool was used to assess if Ike was open to any form of handling. Ike sniffed the tool then ducked his head with eyes closed and ears to the side when touched with the tool. A hand was extended but when Ike remained motionless, no further handling was attempted. Placement determination: New Hope Only Ike seems uncomfortable with handling and appears stressed in the care center environment. We recommend Ike be placed with one of our New Hope partners at this time.
