ICED VANILLA – A1045669
8-17-2015 Brooklyn Rescue: Staten Island Hope Please honor your pledges: http://www.statenislandhoperescue.org/
** SAFE 08/17/15 ** ICED VANILLA is a 13-month-old kitten who teeters on the precipice, tonight. Brought in with 2 other cats, one of them has already been killed (Iced Flat) and one of them has been saved (Potato), so which way will the final scoreboard go? If no one steps up to foster or adopt this FIV+ boy, that will mean two-thirds of his little group were killed by a bloodthirsty “shelter” system. If Iced Vanilla does attract someone’s eye tonight, it will be proof that there is still good in the world! What’s it to be? Please be an agent of positive action and SAVE ICED VANILLA, tonight!

08/10/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to Assessor: Iced Vanilla becomes stiff and alert upon approach. He is focused on the assessor when softly spoken to and seems wary of the environment. Reaction to cage door opening: Iced Vanilla lowers his body and squeezes into the corner of his cage. Reaction to touch: Iced Vanilla blinks, lowers his head, and remains immobile when pet on his head and back. His ears bend sideways and he lip licks during the interaction. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Iced Vanilla tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
