Medical Summary S/O: Patient presented as stray – reportedly found hanging from a gate. scan neg intact male – 2 testicles descended BAR Full deciduous dentition Approx. 7 weeks old H/L = nma, nsr, clear lung fields bilaterally Abdomen = snp EENT =clear OU, clean AU, nnd mm = light pink, sl. tacky Very good appetite Hemiparetic – ambulates on LFL and LHL RFL – Moderate swelling around the elbow, with a mild amount of moist tan discharge at the medial aspect of the elbow. No active discharge. Absent paw placement/propioception RHL – Severe swelling and edema beginning at the most proximal aspect of the limb and extending to the paw. Curvilinear abrasion/wound which encircles most of the tarsus. Mild dried hemorrhagic discharge surrounds the wound, however no active discharge noted. NOSF Pyrantel administered – 0.16 mL Buprenex given 0.04 mL SQ (0.015 mg/kg) – continue x 5 days Clavamox given 0.12 mL PO – continue BID x 10 days A: Swollen elbow, RFL with wound Swollen and edematous RHL – poss. fracture Px: Fair to Good, pending placement P: Shaved RFL and RHL – small (approx. 1 mm in diameter) puncture wound over caudal medial aspect of right elbow with surrounding bruising. linear abrasion over medial aspect of right tarsus, with surrounding edema, bruising. Cleaned wounds with nolvasan Rec. transfer to BACC for radiographs Informed SIACC New Hope – will first go to BACC for radiographs.
