HELP HOMER BE HAPPY AGAIN!! HOMER came into the ACC as a stray. He is a healthy four year old except for the cold that the ACC gave him. This handsome grey guy could use a friend who will be patient and loving……COULD THAT NEW FRIEND BE YOU?? It’s clear that HOMER was owned before but due to circumstances needs a little adjustment time to feel comfortable. IF YOU CAN’T ADOPT, CONSIDER FOSTERING…..It’s FREE and the rescue handles the vet bills while you provide the love. PLEASE HELP HOMER TONITE AND OFFER TO FOSTER OR ADOPT….

03/16/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Homer does not come to the front but remains neutral. When softly spoken to, he looks attentively at the assessor with his head low against the ground. Reaction to cage door opening: Homer remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Homer retreats a little and meows softly. He allows stroke on his head and back but seems unsure; he shifts in position, lip licks, and blinks at the assessor. Reaction to toy or novel object: Homer shows no interest in playing. Note: Homer came into the care center as a stray so, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. He allowed handling during intake and during his medical exam, but was a bit nervous and tense. Behavior Determination: Experience Homer tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
