HIGGS BOSON – A1048132

8-28-2015 Manhattan

Previous | Next

***SAFE 08/28/15***HIGGS BOSON and buddy NISMO are getting a run of bad luck. They are at the ACC,NOT because someone dumped or didn’t want them but because their owner died. It’s a sad situation for these two gorgeous girls. HIGGS BOSON is 6 years old and NISMO is 2. They are both, understandably having a hard time in the shelter so their both rated EXPNOCHILD. That doesn’t mean that they won’t warm up to a new owner. It just may take a little while, but that is really the case with any new pet! Please offer to FOSTER or ADOPT both. One would guess that it would make the transition easier if they were together. You can save two lives instead of just one!

08/19/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Higgs looks tense in his cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Higgs remains crouched down on her cage bedding, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Higgs accepts the stroke, but stiffens up in place with eyes wandering, and shows no interest on the touch. Placement determination: Experience / no child Higgs Boson tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
