*** SAFE 07/08/15 *** HIGGINS IS A SHE NOT A HE!! This cute and friendly 5 month old is having some limping with her back leg and needs to be seen by a competent vet. HIGGINS is quite sweet and has a BEGINNER rating despite her injury!! If you can’t ADOPT, consider FOSTERING!! The rescue will take care of the vet bills while you take care of HIGGINS….A VERY SWEET DEAL INDEED AND ONE THAT SAVES A LIFE!! PLEASE MAKE ROOM IN YOUR HEART AND YOUR HOME FOR THIS LITTLE GEM!! I am a female white and brn tabby domestic sh mix. The shelter thinks I am about 5 MONTHS old.

I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 06/24/2015 from NY 10039, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

07/01/2015 Exam Type RE-EXAM – Medical Rating is 2 NC – MINOR CONDITIONS NOT CONTAGIOUS, Behavior Rating is NONE, Weight 3.8 LBS.

07/01/15 09:30 Amb x 4, doing great Very mild lameness noted as 6/30 6/30 very BAR weight bearing x4 today no obvious limp but ocassionally favors left side fracture vs st injury–seems to be improving shouls still have rads 06/29/15 11:23 very friendly, wants to play through bars 06/28/15 09:31 Non weight bearing RHL lameness Pain is well controlled 06/27/15 17:15 BARH eating , normal poop in litter box stable , waitng for NH placement for repair of RH orthopedic conditions possible FHO – NH placement needed ——————————————————————————- 06/25/15 09:12 sleeping, ate O/N BARH whe examined H/L wnl RH non weight bearing , pelvis seems ok externally A: Rads needed to assess proximal femur and femoral neck P: Px fair NH placement – rads – possible FHO lowering the dose of buprinex because pupils dilated and alittle loopy ———————————————————————– 6/24scan negative friendly social, no objeciton to exam right hind not weighted most painful when knee is manipulated closed fracture suspected heart and lungs wnl some blood on face, no cuts/ defects on face/oral cacity eyes and ears lean coat wnl female, intact/juveinle 0.15 buprenex given

06/24/15 15:03 During intake would approach extended hand. Allowed all handling without aggression. when touched had soft, relaxed body. When scanned was negative for a microchip. Inside new carrier sat at front and when given food was not itnerested in eating.

Reaction to assessor: Higgins immediately comes soliciting at the front of the cage. Reaction to door opening: Higgins remains at the front of the cage, soft and relaxed, soliciting attention. Reaction to touch: Higgins rubs on the assessor’s hand and appreciates petting on the head and body. Reaction to Being Picked up: Allows the pickup and remains calm. Placement determination: Beginner Higgins interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
