I am a male gray tabby domestic sh mix. The shelter thinks I am about 4 YEARS old.
I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 11/10/2015 from NY 11693, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY. I came in with Group/Litter #K15-039034.

11/10/15 19:22 Hector is gray tabby stray that appears to be 4 years old. Finder stated that Hector is not sociable and attempted to flee and hide at the sight of people. He also avoided eating when people were around. During intake Hector was brought in a trap he was fractious. He did not allow being held or picked up. He attempted to flee and swat during handling.

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Hector looks tense in his cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Hector remains crouched position, body held tightly, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Hector does not allow the stroke, swats and hisses at the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: NH ONLY Hector is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. He is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
