06/13/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Hiding in den when I approach. (3) Reaction to being spoken to quietly: Continues to hide. (3) Reaction to cage door opening: Remains hidden. (3) Reaction to touch: Moves away to avoid being touched, pressed up against the back. (3) Reaction to being picked up: Did not attempt. Notes: Harpo came to the shelter as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment. At the time of the assessment, Harpo is avoiding interaction with the assessor and does not allow handling. He is also ear-tipped, and so likely belong to a colony of outdoor cats. Harpo is exhibiting behavior suited to a rescue partner who can find appropriate placement for him.
