The already NEUTERED, 4 year old boy now sits at death’s door and needs just 1 person to save him! He had previously lived with a DOG who he was said to be”playful and affectionate ” with. So if you always wanted a cat but not sure how they would be with a dog. Look no further! YOU FOUND YOUR GUY! He also is AVERAGE rated! 08/15/15 15:56 Basic Information Hand Jive was brought in as an owner’s surrender due to owner moving, and being unable to bring him along. Owner says Hand Jive is 5 and he is neutered and does not have any injuries or health concerns. When asked what he likes most about Hand Jive owner chose that he is friendly. Personality & Behavior Hand Jive is described as playful, friendly, and affectionate with a medium-activity level Hand Jive lived with a dog(A1047984) and owner says they were playful and affectionate with each other, often playing around the house. Owner says Hand Jive is litter-box trained. Owner says he rarely has accidents. According to owner, Hand Jive has not had any issues with biting anyone or another animal. Hand Jive is said to struggle when time for baths and getting nails trimmed, and will try to run away. Owner says it is easy to get Hand Jive in the carrier. For a New Family to Know Hand Jive is used to using clumping litter, and playing with string. Owner says he has a vertical scratching post made of cardboard that he enjoys using. Owner says that while in the car Hand Jive cries initially but will soon relax. Hand Jive ate both wet and dtry food, and usually sleeps in his bed in the living room. Behavior during Intake Hand Jive was alert and slightly tense during intake. He was nervous, and initially attempted to flee once removed from carrier. After being softly spoken to, Hand Jive relaxed enough to allow handling. Towards end of handling and intake Hand Jive began to get overwhelmed and began to hiss, but went straight in carrier once done. Hand Jive showed no signs of aggression during intake.

Also, lived with a dog and they were playful and affectionate with each other, often playing around the house. Reaction to assessor: Hand Jive looks neutral in his cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Hand Jive remains sitting upright by the front, soliciting attention. Reaction to touch: Hand Jive stands with tail up, head-butts the assessor’s hand and appreciates petting on the head and body. Reaction to Being Picked up: He calmly jumps back into his cage. Placement determination: Average Hand Jive interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
