10/23/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Hall Caine came to the shelter as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment. Upon intake, Hall Caine allowed handling. Reaction to assessor: Hall Caine is lying in his cage, looking relaxed. Reaction when softly spoken to: Hall Caine looks at the assessor, remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to cage door opening: Hall Caine gets up and immediately begins head-butting the assessor. Reaction to touch: After a few passes over the head, Hall Caine becomes stiff and moves away. A nearby cat is hissing and growling. Placement Determination: Experience Hall Caine is a relaxed cat, who approaches the assessor and solicits petting and attention. He became stiff during the assessment, but this may be due to over-arousal from petting or a fractious cat in his environment. Hall Caine is exhibiting behavior suited to experienced adopters who can allow him to adjust slowly to a new environment.
