07/01/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
The former owner stated around strangers Hades is friendly/outgoing, though the owner stated they believed Hades didn’t like them. Hades’ plays gentle & exuberant with his siblings & with dogs. He isn’t too playful with adults. They lived with 2 adult pitbulls who thought they were cats as well and they all got along well. Also, described as friendly, affectionate, playful at times, mellow and independent. Reaction to assessor: Hades looks tense in his cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Hades remains crouched down at the back of the cage, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Hades accepts the stroke, but attempts to lean away from the assessor’s hand with ears down to his side then hisses to stop the touch. Placement determination: Experience / no child Hades tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
