GUPPYBOY – A1046987
8-13-2015 Brooklyn
*** GONE 08/13/15 *** GUPPYBOY WAS LEFT AT THE ACC BECAUSE HIS OWNERS WERE MOVING…or was it because they didn’t want to spend money on taking him to the vet to get his mouth treated…..So here is poor GUPPYBOY with a sore mouth and in strange surroundings fighting for his life. Even though GUPPYBOY has an EXPNOCHILD rating, a FOSTER would be just the ticket for him….The rescue would get his mouth tended to and GUPPYBOY would have time to decompress and feel loved again. THIS IS NOT A MISSION IMPOSSIBLE…WE JUST NEED ONE PURRSON TO CONTACT A NEW HOPE RESCUE AND GIVE GUPPYBOY A CHANCE…..

08/12/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to Assessor: Guppyboy was resting upon approach. He lifts his eyes and looks at the assessor when softly spoken to, but goes back to rest. Reaction to cage door opening: Guppyboy becomes alert and growls. Reaction to touch: Guppyboy retreats to the corner and squeezes his face into the corner of the cage. He hisses and is immobile with touch, but does not display any further reaction and would rather hide. As per previous owner, Guppyboy is an indoor cat that has never lived or interacted with children, cats, or dogs. He allows petting, but does not always like to be picked up. He is litter box trained and eats wet food. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Guppyboy tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
