Medical Behavior Evaluation ORANGE
Medical Summary S/O: Patient presented as a stray – likely with broken hind limbs. BAR on presentation, hissed and tried to escape as soon as box was opened. Sedated with 0.15 mL of Telazol, however patient was unaffected. Kept on isoflurane for exam. scan negative intact female mm = pink, moist, CRT< 2sec. hydration = adequate integ = clean coat EENT = clear OU, clean AU, nnd, mild gingivitis, gum recession over right upper canine H/L: nma, nsr, pss; clear lung fields bilaterally Abdomen = soft, no masses palpable GU: Female, no obvious spay scar, no MGTs – lactating LN = wnl CNS = anesthetized – appeared appropriate prior to sedation MS = BCS: 5/9; crepitus palpable over the right stifle, with laxity. No other palpable abnormalities A: Right stifle crepitus – r/o fracture vs. CCL rupture vs. other P: 2 view pelvic/extremity radiographs taken – no obvious fractures or abnormalities detected on either view. On second palpation, cranial drawer positive in flexion and extension = CCL rupture in right limb Gave 0.22 mL Metacam SQ 0.15 mL SR Buprenex RV and FVRCP given Activyl applied New Hope notified
