06/26/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
06/26/15 20:54 Basic Information Grampy was brought in as a stray after being found in front of a client’s home. Client says Grampy was friendly and allowed her to place him in a carrier with no problem. Behavior during intake Grampy was frightened during intake. He trembled, and attempted to retreat towards the back of his carrier when I reached my hand out towards him. After becoming more comfortable Grampy allowed me to pet him, and remove him from the carrier. Grampy allowed all handling, and showed no signs of aggression during intake.

06/30/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Grampy looks tense in her cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Grampy remains crouched down on his cage bedding, alert with eyes wide open and ears flat back. Reaction to touch: Grampy stiffens up in place, avoids contact but accepts the stroke, flinches, and shows no interest on the touch. Placement determination: Experience / no child Grampy tolerates attention and petting but may be stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
