He was friendly from the start, and got the highest BEGINNER rating for his super friendly behavior in the shelter and on his assessment. GRADY was perfectly healthy when he came in but sadly caught the shelter cold and now rather than giving him a round of antibiotics and keeping him in the adoptions room,the kill happy staff at the ACC will kill him at NOON Sunday. 03/23/15 16:53 Grady is a young gray male cat that came in as a stray. At intake he was very friendly and easy to handle. Grady allowed the Admin. Counselor to pet and scratch his head, never inching out of the carrier. Grady stayed quiet in carrier. When trying to collar him Grady inched his head and body back and eventually turned around to avoid it, but did not hiss or swat. No aggression displayed.

At the time of the assessment she was displaying friendly behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Grady is displaying behavior appropriate for a beginner cat owner. Reaction to assessor: comes to the front of the cage, soliciting, rubbing against the cage front (1) When spoken quietly: stays at front, continues soliciting attention (1) Reaction to door cage opening: remains soft & relaxed (1) Reaction to touch: solicits petting and attention (1) Reaction to toy or novel object: play with the object gently (1) Try picking cat up: tolerant of this type of handling.
