Gorgonzola’s former owner stated he has lived in a home with 3 adults and 1 young child. He was usually relaxed or affectionate around the children and usually didn’t play with him. Also, lived in a home with 3 other older cats. He was usually relaxed or affectionate around them and when he played with them, he was usually exuberant or somewhat rough. Reaction to door opening: Gorgonzola remains crouched down on his cage bedding, alert with a direct stare. Reaction to touch: Gorgonzola hisses at first, but accepts the stroke and slowly raises his hind legs with tail slightly down. He then began to eat in front of the assessor however, randomly hisses while being touched. Placement determination: Experience / no child Gorgonzola tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
