07/06/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to Assessor: Goldie does not come to the front, but remains neutral inside her cage. When softly spoken to, she looks at the assessor and then looks away. Reaction to cage door opening: Goldie remains immobile. Reaction to touch: Goldie lowers her entire body so it’s flat against the floor. Her ears bend sideways and she starts to meow, but she allows petting on her head and back. As per previous owner, Goldie has lived with 2 adults, 5 other cats, and 2 small dogs. She is relaxed, respectful, and tolerant with the cats and dogs. The owner states she has not been around any children and has been kept indoors with a medium activity level. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Goldie tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
