09/29/15 16:20 Basic Information: Gizmo is about 6 months old white and gray cat. She was found as a stray a few months ago and is being surrender because of allergies. She has no known health problems or injuries. The owner states that Gizmo is very sweet and playful. Social Life and Personality: Gizmo has been around children aged 4 years old and up. She is relaxed, affectionate, and gentle during play with the children. She has lived with another cat and is relaxed, affectionate, tolerant but somewhat rough when they play. She has not been socialized with dogs to know her behavior. She is litter box trained, is kept indoors, and has a medium activity level. Her owner describes her as playful, confident, friendly, mellow, assertive, and affectionate. Behavior: Gizmo is not bothered when given a bath, have her nails trimmed, picked up, held, or disturbed from sleep. She enjoys being brushed and struggles going into a carrier. For a New Family to Know: Gizmo is used to clumping litter inside an uncovered litter box. She likes to play with balls and wand toys. She does not scratch on anything. She likes to follow her owner around the home. She is gentle during play. She is used to eating dry cat food. She enjoys sleeping anywhere. Intake Behavior: Gizmo was sitting in the front of the carrier. When approached she moved to the back. She had a soft body and allowed to be picked up on the carrier. When on the counter she allowed handling for collaring and scanning. She would avert her eyes when the camera was presented. If was hard to take a photo because Gizmo kept moving her head away from he camera.

Gizmo was bought into the care center by her previous owner due to allergies. Gizmo has been around children. She is relaxed, affectionate, and gentle during play with the children. She has lived with another cat and is relaxed, affectionate, tolerant but somewhat rough when they play. She has not been socialized with dogs to know her behavior. She is litter box trained, is kept indoors, and has a medium activity level. Her previous owner described her as playful, confident, friendly, mellow, assertive, and affectionate. Reaction to assessor: Gizmo remains relaxed laying at the front of her cage When spoken quietly: Gizmo watches the assessor calmly Reaction to door cage opening: remains soft & relaxed Reaction to touch: Gizmo stands up and solicits petting and attention Try picking cat up: Gizmo is tolerant of this type of handling. Behavior Determination: Beginner At the time of the assessment Gizmo was displaying friendly behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Gizmo is displaying behavior appropriate for a beginner cat owner.
