I am a male black domestic sh mix. The shelter thinks I am about 7 MONTHS old.

I came in the shelter as a OWNER SUR on 06/22/2015 from NY 10458, owner surrender reason stated was PETS CONFL.

6/22/15 13:54 Basic information: Guissepe a 6 month old male domestic medium hair mix. The owner surrendered Guissepe because he is playing too rough with the owners other small dog. Guissepe has no health problems and the owner has not taken him to a vet. Socialization: The owner states that around strangers Guissepe is friendly and outgoing. Guissepe has not been around children but around adults he is gentle and loves to be play. Guissepe has lived with a small Yorkie and but they do not always get along with each other (they play very rough rough with each other). Guissepe has never bitten or scratched anyone. Behavior: Guissepe is very active and does not get along with dogs (he plays too rough around them, he attempts to strike them). He has never been bathed or had his nails trimmed, but he allows being placed in a cat carrier. Guissepe loves to be brushed. For a new family to know: The owner describes Guissepe as friendly, affectionate and playful cat with a very high activity level. Guissepe loves to play with his toy rubber balls with bells inside them and scratching post; he lives mostly indoors and sleeps on the bed with the owner. In the home Guissepe will follow the owner around and prefers to stay in same room as the owner. Guissepe eats mostly fancy feast brand wet cat food and tender vittles dry cat food is feed two times a day. He is litter box trained and uses a hooded litter box with arm and hammer clumping litter. Guissepe scratches a scratching post made of rough rope. Behavior during intake: During intake Guissepe was clam with soft body, he allowed us to scan (-) put on ID collar, photographed and placed in cat kennel.

A volunteer writes: Guissepe is a beautiful black 6-month-old kitty who is smart and friendly, and just loves attention! He was eager to be petted and was eager to play as well. He just loved being petted, purring and head butting the entire time! Come and take this handsome boy home today!

Reaction to assessor: Guissepe engages when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Guissepe seeks affection, leans forward with tail up and remains at the front of the cage, soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Guissepe head-butts the assessor’s hand, purrs, and accepts the touch with eyes soft and loose body. Reaction to Being Picked up: He allows the pickup and remains calm. Placement determination: Beginner Guissepe interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
