9/22/15 15:23 Basic information: Gio is a 2 yr. old male domestic short hair mix. The owner surrendered Gio because not time to care for the dog any more. Gio has no health problems and the owner last took him to a vet two months ago. Socialization: The owner states that around strangers Gio is friendly and outgoing. Gio has lived with two children ages 1 to 14 and is gentle and loves to be play. Gio has never been around dogs or other cats so the owner has no idea how Gio would react around them. Gio has never bitten or scratched anyone. Behavior: Gio has never been bathed, had his nails trimmed. He does not mind having his coat brushed, being picked up but struggles when being placed in a cat carrier. For a new family to know: The owner describes Gio as friendly cat with a medium activity level. Gio has never played with toys; he lives mostly indoors and sleeps anywhere in the house that he wants. In the home Gio will follow the owner around and prefers to stay in same room as the owner. Gio eats various brands of brand wet cat food and is feed two times a day. He is litter box trained and will also go to the bathroom outside in the yard, he uses an uncovered litter box with clumping litter. Gio has never been given a scratching post so the owner does not know if he will use it or not. Behavior during intake: During intake Gio was clam with soft body, he allowed us to scan (-) put on collar, photographed and placed in cat kennel.
