Owner Profile: Ginger was bought into the care center by her previous owner due to inappropriate elimination. Ginger behavior towards children and other cats remains unknown. She has spent time with two small dogs and is fearful of them. The dogs tried to play with Ginger but she hides. She is not litter box trained and has been urinating around the home.
Notes: Ginger at the time of the assessment was displaying timid behavior, did not come to the front of the kennel but interacts with the Assessor, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Ginger is displaying behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.

Ginger is a domestic short hair tortie. She was found as a stray and is being surrendered because of landlord issues. She has not seen a vet but has no known health problems or injuries.
Social Life and Personality:
It is unknown how Ginger would respond when around children or cats. She has spent time with two small dogs and is fearful of them. The dogs tried to play with Ginger but she hides. She is not litter box trained and has been urinating around the home.
Intake Behavior:
Ginger sat in the middle of the carrier with a tense body and dilated eyes. The counselor was able to pick Ginger up and place her on the counter for photos without struggle. Ginger held still for photos, collaring, and scanning. The counselor was then able to pick Ginger back up and place her in the carrier.
