I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 07/16/2015 from NY 11373, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

07/16/15 20:21 Ginger was very affectionate and relaxed upon intake. Ginger allowed an admissions counselor to handle and collar her while placing her into a carrier. Ginger is very sweet and likes to cuddle. Ginger prefers dry food and very cold water. Ginger seems to like naps right after a meal.

Notes: Ginger was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment he was displaying friendly behavior, did not come to the front of the kennel but interacts with the Assessor, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Ginger is displaying behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but looks at you, calm, relaxed When spoken quietly: does not come to front but looks at you, calm, relaxed Reaction to door cage opening: remains soft and relaxed Reaction to touch: allows petting and attention, rolls over, purrs, rubs on hand Try picking cat up: Ginger remains calm when being held Placement Determination: Average
