GIGI – A1055561

Safe 11-1-2015 Manhattan

Previous | Next

**SAFE 11/01/15** MIMI and GIGI are two healthy young cats who were brought to the ACC because their former owner had no time to care for them. Want to know who else has no time for them? THE ACC. Which is a shame, because the ACC has the power of life & death over these cats…so when time’s up, these cats will be killed. Please read their biographies carefully, because these cats are one of each gender, and their ratings are BEGINNER and EXPERIENCE. These are good cats who do not deserve to be killed tomorrow. Please advocate relentlessly for GIGI and MIMI, tonight!

10/25/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Gigi’s previous owner states that Gigi is friendly and outgoing. He has not lived with children, but he is gentle around adults. He has lived with two other cats and he plays fairly well with them. Gigi doesn’t like to have his coat brushed, but doesn’t mind being picked up and is okay with being placed in a carrier. He was described as a friendly and playful cat, with a medium activity level. He would usually follow his owner around the home and prefers to be in the same room with them. Reaction to assessor: Gigi does not come to the front, but remains neutral in his kennel. Reaction when softly spoken to: Gigi blinks and looks away from the assessor. Reaction to cage door opening: Gigi remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Gigi lowers his head, blinks, and lip licks when pet. He buries his head behind his litter box and seems unsure of the assessor, but would lift his butt a little when pet on his lower back. Behavior Determination: Experience Gigi tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
