GIA – A1049285
Gone 9-11-2015 Manhattan
***GONE 09/11/15***Pretty GIA is a 10 year old spayed female kitty who has been declawed. Her owner dropped her off at the shelter because the owner is moving to a new home which will not allow pets. How sad, for GIA to be deserted by the only family she’s ever known after 10 years!! This gorgeous gray and white kitty with the big green eyes is hoping for a new home with experienced cat owners and no children. GIA plays with toys and loves taking naps. GIA tolerates petting but is feeling a little distrustful and shy right now. Who can blame her? One day she was snoozing on a couch and now her life is on the line! Please foster or adopt lovely GIA. This sweetie’s life shouldn’t end this way!! She would make a loveable companion!!

08/29/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Gia looks neutral in her cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Gia remains crouched down by the front, alert with pupils fully dilated. Reaction to touch: Gia accepts the stroke, but remains cautious with her surroundings with eyes wandering. Placement determination: Experience / no child tolerates attention and petting but may be stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
