*SAFE 11/16/15 – Furby is ADORBS! And a little sick with upper respritory. And may not be eating very well on his own. Still adorable though!! Furby needs a foster who can help with assisting feedings as well as continue treatment for the URI. Please pull Furby by 6pm today from MACC!!

Sex: Male kitten
S: Meowing, moving around the cage. Allows all handling. Firm feces in carrier.
O: BAR, BCS 3.5/9, MMs pink, slight skin tent, est. 5% dehydrated
EENT: Serous nasal and ocular discharge. Clean ears and teeth.
H/L: NSR, NMA. Sneezing, sniffling. Quiet lungs.
Abd: Soft, slightly distended, no pain on palpation, no masses palpated
M/S/I: Amb x4. No lesions noted. Caudal half of kitten is wet, possibly with urine
UG: Male intact kitten
A: Upper respiratory infection, underweight, dehydrated
Short-term prognosis: Fair
P: Start amoxi-clav at 13.75 mg/kg PO BID x10 days, give SQ LRS at 10 ml BID x2 days. Complete initial exam and deworm appropriately. Monitor in Medical.
