SECOND CHANCE FOR FUR BALL AND HOGARTH TONIGHT!! HOGARTH, ZAPPA, SPOT AND FUR BALL ALL GOT THE SHORT END OF THE STICK!! Owner decided to move to a non pet-friendy place and trapped their cats leading to abrasions on 3 out of the 4. One of the cats (HOGARTH) may have eye damage. FUR BALL AND HOGARTH HAVE GOTTEN A RARE SECOND CHANCE TONIGHT!! Status of their house mats is not known yet. These cats all have Experience ratings but that is due to their being frightened and confused at their situation. PLEASE HELP THESE CATS FIND RESCUE TONITE!! MAYBE YOU CAN FOSTER OR ADOPT ONE OR TWO?? All that is needed is a couple folks to come forward and they can be saved….YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO….SAVE THEM TONITE!!

04/07/15 18:26 NAME: Fur Ball REASON FOR SURRENDER:Client is surrendering cats A1032471, 472, 473 & 474 due to a residential move to a home that does not allow pets RELATIONSHIP: Client has owned Fur ball for over 1yr. Fur ball was found as a stray & does not have any known health issues. PEOPLE: Fur ball has lived with 2 adults & has not been exposed to children. Fur ball is very friendly towards adults that he is familiar with, he may be shy towards strangers. OTHER ANIMALS: Fur ball has lived with 3 other cats. Client stated Fur ball tends to be alpha male around the other cats. Fur ball may swat with no claws out, at the other cats when he is bothered. Fur ball has not shown any aggression towards the other cats & often plays with the other cats. Fur ball has not been exposed to dogs. PERSONALITY/HABITS: Furball is litter box trained & does not have accidents outside of litter box. Fur ball is kept mostly indoors & may occassionally go out side, but will come back home everyday. His activity level is high, Fur ball loves to play. Fur ball uses clumping litter inside of an uncovered litter box. Owner stated Fur ball does not have a scratching post but tends to scratch on a wooden rail. When owner is home, fur ball will follow owner around & sit on lap. He does not like getting into carriers & will try to run away & hide. Fur ball enjoys eating dry food. Fur ball is best described as a playful, friendly & affectionate cat. BEHAVIOR DURING INTAKE: Fur ball appeared to be shy and afraid of his enviornment, allowed minimal handling.

Fur ball has lived with 3 other cats. Also, stated Fur ball tends to be alpha male around the other cats. Fur ball may swat with no claws out, at the other cats when he is bothered. Fur ball has not shown any aggression towards the other cats & often plays with the other cats. Reaction to assessor: Fur Ball looks tense in his cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Fur Ball remains crouched down with tail tightly curled close to the body, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Fur Ball accepts the stroke, but hard stares at the assessor’s hand and shows no interest on the touch. Placement determination: Experience / no child Fur Ball tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
