FUDGIE – A1048708
8-25-2015 Brooklyn Rescue: Staten Island Hope Please honor your pledges: http://www.statenislandhoperescue.org/
***SAFE 08/25/15*** FUDGIE is about 7 months old. He is an adorable kitty that was dumped at the ACC from out of state. FUDGIE is a bit fearful of this environment and who can honestly blame him. Once he is out of the shelter and placed into a loving home his true colors will shine through. He just needs a chance and a place he can decompress. Please consider fostering or adopting FUDGIE, it will literally save his life.

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to Assessor: Fudgie is inside a hidey box upon approach. He peeks out from the opening when softly spoken to. Reaction to cage door opening: Fudgie retreats back into the box. Reaction to touch: Fudgie hisses and spits as the assessor’s hand gets close to the box. He does not allow touch; he swats at the assessor’s hand. Behavior Determination: New Hope Only Fudgie is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and/or may require further investigation before placement in a home. He has tried to swat, is extremely fearful in the shelter environment, and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
