12/01/15 12:58 Froggy is an 11 month old gray domestic shorthair cat who arrived as a stray surrender. Upon intake Froggy was not handled. Counselor was able to scan for microchip (negative) and photograph in the carrier but did not collar.

Reaction to assessor: Froggy was hiding when I approach cage When spoken quietly: Froggy continues to hide Reaction to door cage opening: Froggy remains motionless Reaction to touch: Froggy allows peting but body remains tense and motionless Try picking cat up: Did not attempt Behavior Determination: Experience No Children At the time of the assessment Froggy was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Remains motionless as I started to get closer but after a steady slow approach using soft voices she relaxed a little. I was able to pet her and interact with her in a limited way. Although she was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents with no children.
