11/18/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
11/18/15 10:41HRS Frisky is described as 4 year old male cat that was cared for by his owner for the past year. He has been surrendered due to an incident where he bit his owner. SOCIAL LIFE & PERSONALITY Frisky is described as independent yet affectionate. He lived in a single adult house hold as the only pet. His owner stated that he would roam about the home as he pleased and would come around when he wanted attention. He would allow his owner to pet his head. He has interacted with a 12 year old child and was playful with the child initially. However after being petted by the child for a few minutes, he quickly turned and swiped at her leg, scratching her. The incident occurred once and a few months ago. Since that incident, Frisky did not interact with any children. BEHAVIOR Frisky is accustomed to grooming himself. He allows minimal petting on his head and body and only after he solicits attention first, by rubbing up against his owner. When he is pet for too long, he will swipe at the person touching him, sometimes with his claws drawn. When there are visitors, Frisk’s owner restricts him to the bedroom so he doesn’t interact with them. FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW Frisky uses a covered litter box filled with clumping litter. He enjoys playing with balls stuffed with bells. He likes to scratch his owner’s carpet. He is accustomed to eating Fancy Feast wet food, 1 can in the morning and 2 cans in the evening. He would sleep in the owner’s living room.

This cat can is suitable for new or experienced cat parents. 11/25/15 Frisky is described as independent yet affectionate. He lived in a single adult house hold as the only pet. His owner stated that he would roam about the home as he pleased and would come around when he wanted attention. He would allow his owner to pet his head. He has interacted with a 12 year old child and was playful with the child initially. However, after being petted by the child for a few minutes, he quickly turned and became defensive by swiping at her leg. Reaction to assessor: Frisky looks neutral in his cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Frisky remains hiding in his cat den, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Frisky accepts the stroke, but hesitates with the touch then began to lip lick in place and low growl at the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: Experience / no child Frisky tolerates attention and petting but may be stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
