FRENCHIE – A1034626

***SAFE 05/21/15*** HEADBUTTING KITTEN CHARMER, DUMPED FOR BEING “TOO ACTIVE”, NEEDS A LOVING KITTEN PARENT OR HE WILL DIE BECAUSE HE SNEEZED – PLEASE GRANT FRENCHIE A DEATH ROW PARDON!!! Adorable black and white kitten FRENCHIE, just 13 months old, was BETRAYED by his old owner, who dumped this “AFFECTIONATE, FRIENDLY” boy because he was “TOO ACTIVE”. (Yes, I’m shaking my head in disgust and disbelief!) Frenchie, who is ALREADY NEUTERED, was a dream to own: “Frenchie lived with children ages 1, 2, 3, and 9 years old. He’s relaxed and affectionate and rubs against children and strangers. His owners gave Frenchie lots of petting and attention but did not play with him with toys or provide him with much exercise/stimulation. Frenchie’s owner describes him as friendly, affectionate, playful, and high activity. He opens doors, turns on faucets to drink, and eats out of the cat food bag. He likes to play with balls and stuffed toys. He follows and sits on his family members. He lived inside and slept with his owner.” Frenchie BEGGED FOR AFFECTION and gave GENTLE, TRUSTING RUBS during his ACC behavior test, scoring a near-perfect AVERAGE rating! But he’ll die at noon tomorrow, another INNOCENT VICTIM of the notorious ACC kitty cold and a badly broken shelter system. Please start RIGHT NOW to apply to foster or adopt fabulous FRENCHIE! If you can’t save FRENCHIE yourself, please SHARE his sad story and PLEDGE for his rescue!

04/28/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
04/28/15 19:31 BASIC INFO Frenchie’s family got him as a gift from his finder 1 year ago. She surrendered him to AC&C because he’s too high energy. SOCIALIZATION Frenchie lived with children ages 1, 2, 3, and 9 years old. He’s relaxed and affectionate and rubs against children and strangers but plays very rough with all people-biting and scratching, often on feet or legs while someone is walking, mopping, or lying down and moving their feet. His scratches have broken skin and caused minimal bleeding twice. His owners gave Frenchie lots of petting and attention but did not play with him with toys or provide him with much exercise/stimulation. BEHAVIOR Frenchie is mostly littertrained. He had a few accidents (#1 and #2) on the couch and bed since his owner has had him. She doesn’t know what caused them. He scratches chairs. Sometimes he enjoys being held and other times he jumps away. He doesn’t mind being put in a carrier or woken up. He runs out of the tub during baths. He’s relaxed in the car. FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW Frenchie’s owner describes him as friendly, affectionate, playful, and high activity. He opens doors, turns on faucets to drink, and eats out of the cat food bag. He likes to play with balls and stuffed toys. He follows and sits on his family members. He lived inside and slept with his owner. He ate dry and wet cat food and got Temptations treats. He used an uncovered litterbox with clay and clumping litter. He scratched a vertical carpeted scratching post. INTAKE Frenchie had a relaxed body and head butted me during handling-putting in kennel, scan (negative), collar, petting, pictures. He stood at the edge of his kennel and looked around. He was easy to handle and didn’t resist, retreat, or vocalize.
