Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Owner Profile: Freda was bought to the care center because her previous owner died. She lived with one adult so her behavior around children is unknown. Freda has lived with other cats. Her personality is said to be shy and she is litter box trained. Notes: At the time of the assessment she was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and tries to flee when the kennel was open. Retreats as I started to get closer. I was able to pet her and interact with her in a limited way. Although she was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents without children. Reaction to assessor: At front of cage, hiding under paper (2) When spoken quietly: ignores me completely (2) Reaction to door cage opening: retreats (3) Reaction to touch: moves away from me to avoid being touched (3) Try picking cat up: not tolerant of this type of handling, tries to flee Placement Determination: experience no child
