03/23/15 16:46 Fluff is a gray tabby that was brought in as a stray. She was very quiet in her carrier. The Admissions Counselor was able to pet, collar, scan for a chip, and photograph her very easily. She allowed all pets, but stayed to the back of the cat carrier.

Notes: Fluff was brought to the shelter as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment he was displaying friendly behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Fluff is displaying behavior appropriate for a beginner cat owner. Reaction to assessor: comes to the front of the cage, soliciting, rubbing against the cage front (1) When spoken quietly: stays at front, continues soliciting attention (1) Reaction to door cage opening: remains soft & relaxed (1) Reaction to touch: solicits petting and attention (1) Reaction to toy or novel object: play with the object gently (1) Try picking cat up: very easy to handle.
