He has spent his entire life of 11 YEARS with one family and is now dumped at the shelter by the family he trusted. Can you give him the home he deserves? He is a NEUTERED 11-year old healthy boy at 11.7 pounds! He is good with other cats and children and it is noted that he is affectionate and playful! He is a cat lovers dream come true and would be suitable for even an inexperienced cat owner! Please give him the life he deserves! 03/28/15 18:03 NAME Floppy REASON FOR SURRENDER For many reasons including moving into a “no pets” residence, owner can no longer keep Floppy. RELATIONSHIP Floppy’s previous owner found him as a stray about 11 years ago. He is currently about 11 years old. He scanned negative for a microchip. PEOPLE He lived in a home with 2 adults and 1 child about 8 years old. Around children, he is usually relaxed or affectionate, and when he plays with them, he is usually gentle. He is also gentle when he plays with his owner. He has never bitten anyone. OTHER ANIMALS Floppy (A1031583) and Mumoso (A0921996) lived together. Around each other they were usually respectful, and when they did play, they were usually gentle. He has never bitten another animal. PERSONALITY/HABITS He is an indoor only cat who mostly lies around throughout the day. He has been described as playful, friendly, very talkative, affectionate, fearful, and shy. He usually hides when new people are around but is friendly once he gets to know them. When he does play, he enjoys chasing and playing with balls, strings, and catnip toys. He doesn’t like baths and usually will try to bite. He is afraid during nail trimmings and when he is placed in a carrier. He enjoys being brushed and being held. He usually meows or cries during car rides. He likes to be in a favorite spot or sit on his owner when his owner is home. He eats Science Diet wet food and he loves all treats. He uses a covered and uncovered litter box with clay litter. He tends to scratch on the furniture or vertical scratching post made of carpet or cardboard. He usually sleeps on the sofa or someplace soft. TRAINING He is litter box trained and has not had any accidents. BEHAVIOR DURING INTAKE During the intake, he was nervous; he had tense body, dilated pupils, and he kept licking his lips, and he was reluctant to come out of his carrier. He allowed handling and showed no signs of aggression.

Reaction to assessor: Floppy looks neutral in his cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Floppy remains crouched down at the back while facing the assessor, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Floppy accepts the stroke, but lip licks in place and eyes wonder. Placement determination: Experience Floppy tolerates attention and petting but may be stressed in the shelter. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
