04/07/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Fire came to us as a stray on 4/1/15. Fire had neutral body language when first meeting the assessor and soft body language when the assessor opened the kennel door. She allowed the assessor to pet her lightly with a few stokes and then become a bit tense and retreated to the back of the kennel. Even though Fire became a bit uncomfortable she did not show any signs of aggression towards the assessor. The behaivor department feels that Fire can go to an experienced home without young children that can provide Fire with positive experiences and give him time to get used to his environment. Reaction to assessor: Does not come to front but remains neutral (2) When spoken to quietly: does not come to front but remains neutral (2) Reaction to cage door opening: Remains soft and relaxed (1) Reaction to touch: Accepts the first few strokes with slightly tense body language, before becoming retreating to the back of the cage. (3) Reaction to being picked up: Not attempted during assessment.
