FERDINAND – A1058410
Gone 11-25-2015 Brooklyn
** GONE 11/25/15 ** OTTO, FERDINAND and TAM TAM are year-old kittens who were supposedly “found” by someone, kept for 3 days, and then brought to the ACC. Is it a coincidence that these pretty tabbies are all guesstimated to be the same age….as if they were siblings that someone maybe had been feeding for a year, and then failed to find homes for? These smart felines are wary of the shelter staff and consequently, they have earned EXPNOCHILD ratings. This crew need to decompress in a loving, patient home and once that happens, they will probably lavish plenty of unconditional love on their new humans. Each of these kitties need a FOSTER or ADOPTER to save them, tonight!

11/23/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Ferdinand was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. The finder has feeding him and three other cats for several days. He allowed some contact when approaching for food, but tried to flee when approached. He was fearful upon intake and huddled with the other cats when the admission counselor attempted to pet him. He was receptive to slow handling, but became agitated and may try to flee with excessive handling. Reaction to assessor: Ferdinand was resting in his cage upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Ferdinand blinks slowly at the assessor. Reaction to cage door opening: Ferdinand becomes stiff and alert. Reaction to touch: Ferdinand retreats to the back and squeezes into the corner of the cage. He allows the assessor to pet him, but he lip licks, blinks, and meows softly. Placement Determination: Experience No Child Ferdinand tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
