Basic Information: Felix is a 1 year old altered male domestic shorthair. He was found as a stray. Owner came to surrender Felix due to moving to a new place that doesn’t allow pets.
Social Life and Personality: Felix lived with two adults and been around children all ages. Owner stated that Felix is playful and affectionate towards everyone in the household. Owner stated Felix gets along with other cats and dogs because her family member has pets. Felix is indoors only and activity level is to a medium. Owner describes Felix as playful, friendly, mellow, shy, talkative and affectionate.
Behavior: Felix is declawed on his front paws but never bitten or scratched anyone. Felix was never given a bath but had his back paw trim and isn’t bothered owner stated. Felix enjoys being brushed but not picked up because he will struggle.
For a New Family to Know: Felix is litter box trained and uses an uncovered litter box. He likes to play with anything he finds owner stated. Owner stated Felix likes to follow owner around the house. He eats wet 8am and 8pm and dry food through the day.
Intake Behavior: Upon intake Felix was calm and relaxed. He scanned negative for a microchip and allowed all handling.
Felix’s previous owner states that he has lived with two adults and has been around children of all ages. He is playful and affectionate towards everyone in the household. He has got along with other cats and dogs because other family members also have pets. He was kept indoors only and has a medium activity level. The family described him as playful, friendly, mellow, shy, talkative and affectionate.
Reaction to Assessor: Felix was calm, relaxed, and friendly upon approach.
Reaction when softly spoken to: Felix comes to the front and head-butts the cage door.
Reaction to cage door opening: Felix remains soft and relaxed.
Reaction to touch: Felix head-butts, begins to purr, leans into petting, and rolls over.
Reaction to being picked up: Felix remains calm and allows handling.
Behavior Determination: Beginner
Felix interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. No known history of behavioral problems. This cat can go to a beginner home.
